C-PAK Industries Honored as 2019 California Veterans Employer of the Year
On Thursday, May 2, 2019, C-PAK Industries, a manufacturer of custom Rotational Molded Products, was 1 of 9 employers in the State of California to receive the Veterans Employer of the Year award by the California Employer Advisory Council (CEAC). The awards ceremony took place in Monterey, CA as part of the CEAC 2019 annual conference. C-PAK Industries Production Manager, Randal Glaser, attended the ceremony and accepted the award on behalf of the company.
“Hiring veterans is highly beneficial to our company. The traits and skills they possess are key in helping to reduce the time it takes to train someone into a position and have them perform the job correctly.” – Randal Glaser, Production Manager, C-PAK Industries
Each year, the CEAC along with the Employment Development Department (EDD) honor employers who consistently demonstrate positive policies toward U.S. Veterans in hiring and promotion, as well as through employee retention efforts, ongoing training, and benefits. The award winners were broken down into 3 categories, Small Business (Under 100 Employees), Large Business (Over 100 Employees) and Government/Public Sector. C-PAK Industries was 1 of 3 employers to win under the Small Business category.
“The San Bernardino Veteran Staff’s respect and admiration continue to grow with our relationship to C-PAK Industries; their support of veteran employment needs is inspirational” – Hidejiro Hiratsuka, Local Veterans Employment Representative (EDD).
In 2018, C-PAK Industries began working with the San Bernardino America’s Job Center of California (AJCC), attending 90% of the Veterans Job Fairs hosted by EDD Local Veterans Employment Representative, Hidejiro Hiratsuka. These Job Fairs, along with C-PAK Industries own recruiting and attending other veteran friendly events, resulted in 45% of all direct hire employees being U.S. Veterans.
C-PAK Industries was the only employer from the County of San Bernardino to receive this recognition. This is C-PAK Industries first nomination and first time receiving the California Veterans Employer of the Year Award.
